Close Encounters. Visual Dialogues (Part 2, Back2school) 2019
The project: “Close Encounters. Visual Dialogues” (Part 2, Back2school), initiated by ICA-Sofia, aims at the re-integration of the scene of Bulgarian contemporary art practices and artists into the European scene through organizing visits by leading European curators to Sofia with public lectures, studio visits and meetings with artists. These curators are either in the process of preparing an important biennale/contemporary art event anywhere in the world; or are active museum directors with open programs who can appreciate the work of Bulgarian artists; or they are active young curators born in Bulgaria or elsewhere, who are working in an active career mode in Europe's leading art centers.
